Because the current networks were built to monetize attention, not nourish people. When algorithms and vanity metrics run the show, we perform instead of connect. Auras replaces that with intention: no likes or follower counts, no manipulative feeds – but a space to share from the heart, gather in Tribes and Events, and meet people in a safer, slower, ethically designed environment. We’re building the network we’ve always wanted to use—one that serves human connection, not the attention economy.

Who’s behind Auras — is it an indie team or a big company?

Auras is built by a small, indie team of designers, engineers, and community facilitators—not a big company. We’re bootstrapped and community-funded, with support from aligned partners, so we don’t answer to ad dollars or VC growth targets. Our promise is ethical design, data respect, and transparent governance as we grow.

How will the algorithm work (or will there be one at all)?

Auras doesn’t use manipulative feeds. Instead, your stream will be a balance of posts from people you follow and content we suggest based on the interests you’ve chosen—or gently inferred from what you interact with. Recommendations are designed to be spacious: a mix of fresh voices and meaningful posts that others are resonating with. This way you discover new perspectives without being trapped in echo chambers or endless loops of the same content.

Can I post non-spiritual content, like trips, meals, or my cat?

Yes. Auras isn’t about fitting into a “spiritual” box, it’s about showing up as your authentic self. If that means sharing a trip, a home-cooked meal, or yes — your cat — go for it. As long as it comes from a place of honesty and not showing off, manipulation, or spreading hate, it belongs here. And honestly, could we even call it the Internet without cats? What types of events will be on Auras?

The common thread isn’t the format but the intention—anything that brings people together, nourishes the soul, and helps raise the vibration of our planet has a home here.

Is Auras only for ‘New Age’ communities? What if I’m Christian, Muslim, or secular?

Auras isn’t just for one path or label. It’s for anyone who values authenticity, connection, and kindness—whether you’re Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, agnostic, or don’t identify with any tradition at all. As long as what you share comes from the heart and isn’t about showing off, manipulating, or spreading hate, you belong here. How does the invitation system work, and why isn’t open sign-up always available?

Auras is not meant to be a digital marketplace where anyone can walk in at any moment—it’s a sacred space, and sacred spaces need care. That’s why sign-ups aren’t always open. Instead, members can invite a limited number of new souls each month, so the circle grows with intention and trust. You can also step in by joining an event, where connection begins in shared experience. This slower, invitation-based rhythm helps keep the community grounded, authentic, and protected from the noise and chaos that overwhelm other networks.

What does “love-based” or “conscious” mean in practical terms on the platform?

On Auras, “love-based” and “conscious” aren’t just pretty words—they shape how the platform actually works. It means no addictive feeds, no chasing likes, no algorithms designed to keep you scrolling. Instead, every post begins with an intention, interactions are rooted in respect, and spaces like Tribes and Events are built to foster presence, not performance. Conscious also means ethical design and data protection: your attention isn’t for sale, and your voice isn’t drowned in noise. What replaces likes and follower counts?

On Auras you won’t see like counters or follower numbers—because we’re not here to perform for metrics. Instead, every interaction is felt, not gamified. Reactions and follows still matter, but they live quietly in the background, helping the system understand what resonates and guiding gentle recommendations. For you as a user, the focus stays where it belongs: on expression, connection, and presence—not on chasing numbers.

Will Auras have ads or be ad-free? What’s the business model?

Auras will never drown you in invasive ads or track you across the web. Instead, we’re introducing what we call “conscious ads”—gently placed in your feed, aligned with the interests you’ve chosen or what we can lightly infer from your interactions. We won’t build shadow profiles, guess your health status, or target you based on your private life. Ads may feel less “hyper-relevant,” but they’ll also be ethical, transparent, and respectful. Alongside this, our model is sustained by small commissions on event ticket sales and subscriptions for businesses. This way, Auras stays ad-light, community-first, and free from the extractive practices that dominate traditional networks.

How does moderation work? What are the community guidelines and rules around misinformation, hate speech, or harassment?

Moderation on Auras is about protecting the space so it can stay nourishing, not policing people into silence. Our community guidelines are simple: no hate, no harassment, no manipulation, no violence. Misinformation that puts people at risk—health, safety, dignity—will be addressed. Everything else is held with nuance: space for dialogue, but not for harm. Moderation is a mix of community reporting, human review, and transparent processes, with the possibility to appeal. Think of it like a circle—everyone helps hold it safe, so that what flourishes inside is trust, authenticity, and care.

What’s your stance on AI-generated content?

AI can be a helpful tool, but it should never replace the human heart behind a post. On Auras, we welcome AI-generated elements — like an image, background, or video snippet — if they support the aesthetics or make something easier to understand. What we don’t support are accounts that rely solely on AI, posting content with no authentic human voice or presence. This is a space for people, not bots — and every contribution should carry a trace of the soul who shared it.

What’s the minimum age to join? Is there NSFW content and how is it handled?

The minimum age to join Auras is 16. In the future, we aim to adapt onboarding so that even younger teens (from 12 up) can safely join with appropriate safeguards, because conscious connection should be accessible to the next generation too. When it comes to sensitive content: we recognize that nudity is part of human nature and, when expressed with reverence, can reflect the sacredness of the body and our bond with nature. That is welcome here. What we don’t allow is explicitly sexual content, because Auras is not meant to be a platform for arousal or exploitation—it’s a digital sacred space for authenticity, care, and presence. This boundary keeps the environment safe, respectful, and aligned with the spirit of our community.

How does Auras encourage healthy screen time and reduce doom-scrolling?

Auras is designed to be a space you step into with presence, not a trap you fall into. That’s why we don’t have infinite scroll or endless reels—our feed is intentionally old-school, with clear edges, so you can pause and breathe instead of slipping into autopilot. We’re also exploring gentle tools for the future, like showing how many posts you’ve already seen or how long you’ve been here, so you stay aware of your time. The goal is simple: technology that supports your rhythm, instead of hijacking it.

Can organizations or brands have pages?

Yes. On Auras, individuals will have personal profiles, and organizations or creators will be able to open business profiles. These come with extra tools to share offerings, promote events, and grow a conscious business without resorting to manipulative tactics. The idea is simple: whether you’re a person, a project, or a brand, you can show up authentically and connect with the community in a way that feels aligned and respectful.

Are there fees for businesses and organizers? How and when are payouts handled?

Yes. To keep Auras sustainable and ad-light, business profiles will have a small subscription fee, and we’ll take a modest commission on event ticket sales. The exact amounts will be shared transparently before launch, so there are no surprises. Payouts to organizers will happen via bank transfer. We’re still refining the details, but our guiding principle is clear: fair, simple, and transparent terms that support both the platform and the people who create value within it.
